Friday’s Post ☕️

As it’s Friday again 😉here’s a drink for you to try😉

I’ve used a receipt and a shopping list to mark my book, and a post it note comes in handy to make a few notes, or to mark an interesting place in the book. But as for the rest of them, I have to say I haven’t 😉

As the weekend starts, I’m looking back on my week …..

Weather has been a mixed bag of sun and rain, cold then warm!!! Work has had its moments (the usual gossiping and back biting)!!! Deliveries and prep don’t really change, but I’ve promised it will soon (but I won’t hold my breath) 😉

The rose bushes in the garden are coming along nicely (I’ll put a couple of pictures on over the weekend) 🌹

Before you know it, May will be gone, and it will be June!!!

Dirty Dragon ….Breath of Air Series by Aidy Award

Back Cover…..

There’s something strange in this neighborhood.
Who ya gonna call?
Dragon Warriors!
It will be a piece of cake to keep the Troika Wolf Pack pups and their adorably cute nanny safe from the non-existent threat.
The Black Dragon isn’t interested in wolf cubs.
But I’m interested in sticking around to see if their nanny wants to have some fun. In my bed.

Argh! The dragon warrior sent here to help me protect the pups is completely infuriating.
He’s great with the kids (which I wouldn’t have expected), and I want to kiss him until I can’t see straight (which is completely distracting.)
But I keep having visions of a mysterious figure who is trying to change everyone’s fate. She’s very powerful and is blocking my second sight so I can’t see enough to protect any of us.
Except when I’m with the dragon – then I see a future I’m even more scared of…
A very, very dirty future. Together.

My Review…..

The description had me rolling my eyes, but I thought I’d give it a go …..

Dax is definitely a player, a love them and leave them type. But he’s good at his job. And his job at the moment yo to protect a group of wolf pups, and their cute nanny.

Dax definitely wants to get to know her better 😉
Jules has a job to do, she looks after a pack of cute wolf cubs, but someone or something is after her pups, so a dragon warrior has been sent to investigate and to protect. He’s gorgeous, but so full of himself that Jules goes from wanting to punch him, to kissing him.
Jules has the gift of second sight, so is trying to see who is trying to hurt the pups, but the other person is blocking Jules.
Will she give into temptation? Will he want more than just a night of fun?
It was an ok read, read it in a couple of hours. The characters needed a little more depth, and so did the story.

Tuesday’s Post 🦋

Maybe I should have left this hack for the winter 🤒

I haven’t done that in a long time, I use to plan read the whole book on my day off, and if I didn’t get to sleep then I’d have the day to catch up on my sleep.

Delivery day at work, and it was fun fun fun 🙄🙄 a huge delivery and no one to put it away. Then before you know it, I had to put salads out. So my day was pretty busy. How was your day?

Book Review 👩🏻‍💻

Antidote (love and war) book 1 by  R.A. Steffan.
Back cover …….
Her survival depends on a dangerous alien fugitive.

Skye Chantrell has just escaped a war zone.
She’s carrying the stolen antidote to a deadly bioweapon.

When her damaged shuttle crashes on a remote lunar outpost, she’s captured by the leader of a rogue group of barbaric aliens. Now her people’s fate—not to mention her own—rests in the hands of the Seven Systems’ most feared and hated criminal.

A man with the face of a brutal thug, and the eyes of an angel * * *

Hunter Tarthasian has every reason to hate the Regime.

He and his comrades have gone rogue, vowing to use every means at their disposal to bring down the evil Premiere. Now, they’re wanted and on the run, holed up in an abandoned outpost while they plan their next move. The last thing Hunter needs is a female human civvy with a terrible secret crash-landing on his doorstep. Especially when she starts to awaken feelings in him that have no place in his life as a rebel leader.

Feelings that could very easily get all of them killed.

My review ……
Hunter AKA “The Rook” is the leader of a bunch of rebels, they are wanted men and women, and they are hiding from the regime whilst they plan their next move.
Hunter hates the Premiere (after killing someone he loved very dearly) and is planning on taking it out. What he doesn’t count on is a shuttle crashing on his outpost. But it could be the answer to his prayers.
Skye is on the run, she’s stolen an antidote to a new weapon the regime has created. (her father was ordered by the alien race the “Vithii”to create a weapon to kill all humans, but he’s also created an antidote) She’s escaped, but that was the easy part! She’s crashed on what looks like an abandoned outpost, passing out from the crash, she hopes this is isn’t the end ….
Both Skye and Hunter have reasons not to trust no another, she doesn’t know if he will hand her and the antidote over, and Hunter just doesn’t trust her, even though his mating instincts are kicking in.
But they do agree on one thing, they need to release the antidote and save the humans.
The story is well written, the characters likeable, a few moments where you laugh, and the sex doesn’t go on for pages and pages and pages 🤪
It’s a fun read and there are more in the series. I’ll probably go back and read the rest at some point (but I have plenty on my kindle to keep me going for a while) 😉

Monday’s Post 😎

Bank holiday in the the UK. So offices and schools are shut for the day (but the schools are off for a week anyway) a really busy day at work today, the sun was out, so we had lots of families in eating and playing in the beer garden. It made the day go quick, but they were eating the salad cart quicker than I could put it out 😆

Dark Promises (A Carpathian Novel) by Christine Feehan

Back Cover……

Gabrielle has had enough of battles, of wars, of seeing Gary Jansen, the man she loves nearly lose his life when it isn’t even his fight. Once he was a gentle and very human researcher. Now he’s a fearless and lethal Carpathian warrior with the blood of an ancient lineage coursing through his veins-a man Gabrielle still needs and desires and dreams of with every breath she takes. All she wants is a life far away from the Carpathian mountains, far from vampires and the shadows cast by the crumbling monastery that hides so many terrible secrets. But Gabrielle soon learns that promises made in the dark can pierce the heart like a dagger.

And she isn’t the only one in search of answers in the corners of the unknown…. Trixie Joanes has come to the Carpathian mountains in search of her wayward granddaughter, fearing that she has been lured there by something unspeakable. Instead, Trixie has stumbled into the path of a desperate man and a woman in love and on the run. And they’re all fated for the lair of a mysterious ancient with revenge in his soul and the undying power to make bad dreams come true.

My Review ……

This book has had so many people that read the authors series divided. It was thought that Gary and Gabrielle would be together, wether it be as human, or later as both became Carpathian, lifemates. Now me personally, I didn’t really want them together, and when I found out Gabby would get another lifemate, I did a little cheer…..

So here is my review on Dark Promises …..

For so long Gabby has loved Gary, both are geeks (a love of science and not fitting in with society created a bond that Gabby thought would last forever) but after Gabby was turned Carpathian (in Dark Demon) and Gary was turned into a Carpathian male, she knew it would only be a matter of time before they were separated, males need their other halves in order to remain Carpathian and not turn into a vampire. Gabby was sure they were lifemates, her feelings for him were just as strong. So they plan to run away and marry, ensuring they won’t be parted (to be fair it’s Gabby’s decision, Gary is going along to make her happy, so that tells you something is wrong already)

On the day of the wedding, Gabby is so very happy, she planning to marry the man she has loved for years (and then she wants them to leave the Carpathian Mountains and just be together) they are marrying in secret (again that tells me, they know it’s wrong) just as they are sharing their vows, Gary becomes emotionally withdrawn (to cut a long story short, in order to save Gary, they turned him into a Carpathian, but they chose such a strong warrior lineage, that he becomes emotionless and stops seeing in colour) and tells her he can’t do it. He needs her to be happy, but it’s not with him. It’s tearing him up, it’s always been Gabby, but as the colour goes from his life, so will emotions, if she was his lifemate, then colour wouldn’t be leaving him.

Gabby is heartbroken, all her dreams have ended, and when Gary decides to leave for a monastery to protect humans and Carpathian’s Gabby decides to follow.

Trixie is hunting down her granddaughter, the lady she heard was her daughter living in a monastery with her “husband”, but she doesn’t believe it, she wants so see with her own eyes that her granddaughter is safe. So she packs her “vampire kit” and sets off for the Carpathian Mountains …..

Getting to the monastery proves a trial in itself for Gabby, but she’s determined to prove to Gary and everyone else that they are meant to be together…..

Trixie’s granddaughter is none other than Teagan (Dark Ghost) lifemate to Andre (the Ghost) and when Trixie finally catches up with her, she gets more than she bargains for, a whole lot more ……

Aleksei is an ancient, tired of life and the world, holding onto his honour is his only way to endure.
When he hears a soft murmur running though his head…. colour and emotion slam into him!!!! His lifemate she’s alive, she’s here and she’s frightened!! Enraged Aleksei appears at the monastery gates, to save his lifemate and to end whom ever has hurt his woman. What he doesn’t expect is his lifemate entangled with another man!!! That’s not how it’s suppose to be….
Fane is the guardian to the monastery, his duty is to keep the ancients inside and away from the world. Practicing their fighting skill, they no longer fight the vampires as they are too close to turning, so closed away from the outside world, they live a solitary life.
Trixie is being chased by her so called “new friend”, but she’s not fooled, they don’t feel friendly, they have a lot of crazy thoughts and feelings. But she needs to get to her granddaughter.
Aleksei and Gabby have a very rocky start to their relationship, he doesn’t think she’s a worthy mate, and Gabby doesn’t want him. But together they figure it out.
Trixie and Fane have a fun start to their relationship (Trixie tried to stake Fane!!) But she accepts their bond easier. Although she does give Fane moments where he may regret his decision.
We have a few battles with vampires, but there is A LOT OF SEX in this book. And some does border on being a little too intense!!!
So can I just say …..
Two stories for the price of two🤨maybe two novellas instead of splitting our time between two couples (I did a bit cheated for both couples, I don’t think enough time was spent on each couple) nor the monastery and the warriors inside (maybe that’s just me being greedy) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Saturday’s Post 🥵

Hot hot hot today !!!! Delivery day as well, and the kitchen was so hot !!! A few short tempers in the kitchen, but that was to be expected. The walk home was hot and heavy going.

This is Kim’s rose bush, first bloom out today. And it smells really nice, it’s funny how I like roses, but I don’t like to cut roses from the garden (I think they look better outside)

Book Review 📱

A Bear of her own by Fay Walsh

Back Cover…..

Alana is a writer who wants nothing more than to escape the troubles of the big city. Upon moving to her hometown once again, she encounters a guy that she thought she would never see again.

Travis was her high school crush a cute guy that she’s always had a thing for. But, what she doesn’t know is that Travis has changed a lot since high school, with a secret that he’s kept to himself for a long time, and is hesitant upon telling others.  The secret of his true nature is something that he doesn’t want to tell Alana about, for fear that she might leave him.

But, as mysterious attacks start to happen in town, Travis realizes that as a leader, he needs to do something about it. However when Alana sees him in his bear form, fear is what lingers through him, and Travis struggles with trying to figure out where to go from here. Alana too doesn’t know either, for she is afraid that, if they push this too much, both of them could end up hurting the other.

But, curiosity is something Alana knows she has, and something that she can’t get rid of. However, will the two of them finally understand where the other is coming from? Will the attacks stop before it gets worse? And will their hometown ever be a safe place again for them to live?

As Alana learns more about the truth of her existence, about what Travis really is, she’s pulled in, for she wants nothing more than to help him and to be with him. But, what she doesn’t know is that being with him comes with a price, one that Alana isn’t sure of whether she’s ready for or not.

This thrilling paranormal romance involves two star-crossed lovers and the secret behind the shifter culture and the clan that they have.

My Review…..

Alana needs to move out of the town find somewhere quieter, somewhere she can regroup, and moving back home to a small town seems like the best opportunity.

Travis lives and works on a farm with his brothers (well other shifters that aren’t blood, but he feels like they are brothers)

Travis has a huge secret, one he’s kept to himself for many years, but meeting up with Alana, Travis has a lot of thinking to do.

And to add to it, the town is under attack, not sure if it’s shifter or human, but livestock and people are getting hurt.

Alana had such a crush on Travis at school, and both feel a connection, but Travis dies his best to push Alana away, he had to protect her.

So does Travis step up and help to find the attacker ? Will Alana stay and help? Or finding out Travis is a man who can turn into a bear be too much for her?

I felt the book was a little rushed. It tried too hard, the mystery wasn’t really there, but the characters were good, and the story line did have potential. Travis and Alana were great together, but I did feel something was missing.

Friday’s Post ☕️

As it’s Friday, it must be cocktail time🍹 cheers

Getting very excited ….. a new release is out soon

It’s the start to the weekend, and for people with kids, a half term week next week. And Monday is a bank holiday in the UK. So for most office workers, it’s a three day weekend, for others like myself (it’s off to work Monday) 😏

Started off really nice today, and now it’s not sure what it wants to do !!!

Hope you all have a pleasant weekend.

The witch who cried wolf (Cry Wolf …. book 1) by Sarah Makela

Back cover ……

Be careful what you wish for….

A potion gone wrong:
Mia Brooks is a reluctant witch, with powers that she tries to hold in check. But when her magic gets mixed up, supernatural forces are unleashed and suddenly she’s being pursued by werewolves—that she didn’t even realize existed…

Hidden emotions:
Ethan Parker, Mia’s brother’s best friend, is home from deployment for the holidays. Mia’s not only hiding from werewolves, she’s trying to keep her feelings for Ethan secret; it would be a disaster if he knew she’s been nursing a long-time crush…

The power of love:
Things take a terrifying turn when Mia and Ethan are attacked by a werewolf. Ethan is amazed when Mia reveals her paranormal prowess as she tries to shield them from danger. But can she really protect them from the darkness that lurks? And how can he tell her that, for ages, he’s been denying what he really wants? Mia…

My review …..

Mia is a witch, but she hides it from almost everyone she knows. She’s also a bit of a pushover (she finds it hard to say no) she makes lotions and potions for her friend to sell in her shop. And she makes a few for herself. She really should be practising more, but Mia would rather potter about with her magic than practise (she keeps being told she’s wasting her potential) to become a great witch.

Ethan is home for the holidays (well not his home, but to the family that treat him like a member of their family) he was expecting his best friend and brother to pick him up, what he got was his worse nightmare, Mia has been like a little sister to him, and watching her grow up, he always thought he would see her that way, but an incident changed the way he saw Mia forever. He shouldn’t be having those thoughts about her, and instead of a great reunion, he’s cross that’s she’s come to collect him.

Leaving the airport Ethan and Mia are attacked by a huge wolf!!! Ethan is bitten, Mia is scared it’s more than just a normal wolf bite!!!

Mia has to tell Ethan that she’s a witch, and there is a whole world that exists within this world…..

Does Ethan turn into a Wolf?
Will he accept Mia’s paranormal side?
And who is trying to kill Mia?
And will Mia finally accept her witchcraft heritage?

I found it a little eyebrow raising that Mia didn’t believe werewolves existed (she’s a witch, so why wouldn’t there be other paranormal creatures out there?)

Random Thought 💭

As you can see my rose bushes are coming along nicely. An evening drink 💦 when it gets cooler. Picking caterpillars and greenfly off at the moment (I put the caterpillars in the wild flowers on the opposite side of the garden.

Thursday’s Post 😎

Thinking I could print off this picture, paste it onto card, then I’d have 4 new bookmarks 😉

Far too warm to work in a kitchen 🥵and add the delivery, it made for a tiring day. And the walk home seemed so long tonight.

Reading a classic on audio at the moment “pride and prejudice” it’s nice to sit back and let someone read to me, downside ….. I fall asleep 😴 it’s great for a sleep aid, not so good if your sat there listening mid-day😆

Danny Griffin appears to live a charmed life. Son of a multi-married rock god, he spends his days annoying his friends, wearing odd socks, and buying expensive trinkets no one ever gets to see. His goal for this year is to see each of his friends find love.

The secret billionaires don’t know it, but he started this game to fix his own lonely heart.

Until her cute neighbour convinces her to have one night of fun, and her skeletons come dancing out of the closet.

Will Tina’s past jeopardise the secret billionaire’s club? Can Danny find a way to keep her and keep his secret?

The Secret Billionaire’s Club Books:

The Billionaire’s Heart
The Billionaire’s Luck
The Billionaire’s Treat
The Billionaire’s Duty
The Billionaire’s Spark
The Billionaire’s Club
The Billionaire’s Scare
The Billionaire’s Feast
The Billionaire’s Gift
The Billionaire’s Surprise

My Review…..

I’ve read book two The Billionaire’s Luck (Everett and Jillian) and as they are short stories, I thought I’d give it a look ….

On the outside it looks like Danny has the world at his feet, living life to the full, laughter and fun times, but Danny is lacking in one thing (not female company) he wants someone to love him for him, all his eccentric ways (not just the money in his bank account) so he makes up a game, and uses his friends at the exclusive billionaire’s club to do it …..

Tina is living a lie, always wary that someone will find out her secret. She doesn’t need anyone in her life except her cat, but fate has other things planned for Tina, and before she knows it, she’s meeting up with an eccentric man, looking for her cat. And things take a naughty turn😉

Both have secrets, and when they come out, things change. For the better? Or will Danny lose everything?

It was nice catching up with previous characters. It’s a light hearted read, touching on a few serious matters. If I get the chance I may go back and read book one.

Random Thought 💭

Having a garden is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Tangible benefits can be gained from interacting directly with the natural world, including healing faster after an illness and improving kids’ creativity and learning. Just think about how the scent of a flower or the feel of its petals completely changes your mood! Flowers and other plants are beautiful.

Native Plants

First, it’s important to select plants that are native to your region. Butterflies and other insects have evolved with the bloom time and taste of plants they know best. When properly sited, native plants can be easier to maintain. 🦋

Make sure you incorporate host plants for caterpillars – zizia for black swallowtails, milkweed for monarchs, and baptisia for sulphurs. Many native grasses, such as bluestem and sideoats grama, are also host plants, as are trees such as oaks, elms, and willows. Whatever you plant, go for diversity of height, bloom size, and leaf texture – the more diverse your garden, the more life it will support from egg to wing.

Gardening for Butterflies: Top Ten Plants for Attracting Butterflies

Long Live the Monarch

All butterflies are beautiful, but if your heart lies with the royals, you may wish to attract monarch butterfliesabove all others. In that case, you must plant milkweed. Monarchs need milkweed to survive because it hosts much of their lifecycle.

Monarchs lay their eggs on the underside of the milkweed’s young leaves in the spring/summer. The eggs hatch into caterpillars, known as larvae, and feed on the milkweed through the five stages of their growth.

During each of the five stages, known as “instars,” the insect grows larger and the appearance of its banding pattern changes. If you see a caterpillar gorging on the leaves on your milkweed, don’t bother it – wait just a few weeks and you’ll see it return with spread wings.

After the fifth instar, the caterpillar enters its famous pupation stage. The insect finds a horizontal section of a plant and spins a silk pad to hang from vertically. The caterpillar then sheds its skin, revealing a chrysalis in which it encases itself. This chrysalis is like a green exoskeleton that protects the monarch while it is pupating. This process takes about two weeks to complete.

If you cannot find the caterpillars that were recently feeding on your milkweed, don’t be concerned. Caterpillars will often leave their host plant to find a good place to pupate. Just wait a couple of weeks for the monarchs to appear as fluttering adults, ready to mate. After they emerge from the chrysalis, these amazing creatures remain hanging for a while to dry their wings and pump fluid into them for flight.

Gardening for Butterflies: Monarch Butterfly Lifecycle

Growing up to six feet tall, the plant has long, thin, rigid stems, with a spherical cluster of pinkish-purple flowers. The name milkweed describes the milky sap, which contains natural latex. This latex contains alkaloids (nitrogen-based, drug-like chemicals) and cardenolides (natural steroids), which in some species can be toxic. If you watch caterpillars eat milkweed, you’ll notice they eat in a circular fashion. This is thought to keep the caterpillar from getting stuck in the latex. However, the consumption of the cardenolides and alkaloids makes the monarch itself taste terrible to predators. This helps protect monarchs from becoming prey. That being said, milkweed must be handled with care. First, you should never eat milkweed – it will make you vomit. Second, you should avoid getting the sap on your skin or in your eyes.

Milkweed is drought-resistant, and it grows best in well-drained soil. The leaves of the plant are broad and oblong, providing lots of food for monarchs. Often, milkweed will attract aphids. However, you don’t have to worry about them because ladybugs will often show up and eat the aphids.

Gardening for Butterflies: Milkweed

Kick the Chemicals

Don’t use chemical sprays of any kind; instead, create an organic garden. If you have a garden full of various flowers, shrubs, and trees, you will attract beneficial predatory bugs that will take care of any pests you might have. Be patient. For example, plants such as vanilla-scented swamp milkweed often attract aphids, but ladybugs 🐞 will come to the rescue within a few days. You should also be aware that “organic” treatments can be just as deadly to a butterfly 🦋 or caterpillar 🐛 as any inorganic spray. Nature is sometimes a far better manager of diversity and life than we are.

Leave It Up Over Winter

Leave your garden standing for winter. Avoid the impulse to create a tidy or clean landscape. Many butterflies overwinter in leaf litter or brush piles as adults (mourning cloak), as caterpillars (viceroy), or in a chrysalis (black swallowtail). Butterflies aren’t the only insects hibernating – many moths and beneficial native bees are out there taking shelter, too. Try to wait until the last possible moment each spring to cut back your plants so you don’t disturb the gentle creatures waking in March and April. Besides, a standing winter garden is beautiful to look at; full of bright oranges, rusts, and tans. In addition, it will capture more snow to hydrate the soil and insulate plants from the cold.

When you garden with butterflies in mind, you heighten your own garden experiences and you help life flourish beyond it. Many pollinators struggle with shrinking wild habitats in our chemically doused world, so your garden can be a refuge, not just for you, but for all the beneficial bugs that pollinate our crops and provide us with one of every three bites of food. Gardening for butterflies connects you to nature in spectacular ways while giving you a garden that will surprise you year-round.

My thoughts ……

I found this on google and thought I’d share 🤔 I’m not a great Gardner, I think I’ve pulled up more than my fair share of flowers thinking they were weeds 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I do like to see butterflies in my garden (they make me think fondly of my daughter) 💜 so are you a keen Gardner? Or do you just like to look at a nice garden ?

Tuesday’s Post 😎

Tuesday was delivery day. And with lack of staff today, it was a busy day, and I got to work on the starter line today 😂 the things I learnt a couple of new things today 😉 the plus, the day seemed to speed by.

The walk to and from work today was lovely. The sun was out. Hoping for a good day tomorrow (day off and I have a few things planned)

Monday’s Post ☕️

Monday was a strange one today. Waiting for a repair man at work, we had a cleaning schedule, and I think I worked harder today than I usually do on a Monday 😉

on my walk home I popped into Hobby Craft to have a look, I didn’t get anything as I have so much already upstairs, I really need to sort it out and start to do a few projects.

Book Review 📱

Bonded to the bear by Fay Walsh

Roan, the Bear Alpha of the Fairview clan, doesn’t need a woman. He has just put himself together, after the death of his mate and he is focused on his clan’s needs. With the help of his beta he is taking care of the younglings, while with the help of his brother, he is keeping a good relationship with the neighbouring clans. That is, until this curvy woman arrives to town. A strange feeling, an electricity surges through him every time he is around her. This can only mean one thing…

Harmony is hoping that a fresh start in Fairview will do them good, both to her and her sister. At least, for the few months she intends them to stay. A promise to her mother binds her to always run, in order to stay safe. However, when this sexy stranger comes to aid them when her car is broken, she can’t control herself. Maybe it’s time for her to settle down…

Soon the two of them will find out that they have more reasons to be apart than they thought. There will be nothing left but their love to prove that they are mates. Forever and Always…

My Review…..

Harmony is on the move AGAIN, promising her dying mother to keep her sister safe, they don’t stay in one place for long. It annoys her younger sister no end, but a promise is a promise, and Harmony intends to keep it.

Roan doesn’t need a mate, he’s lost one already, so he throws himself into his job of keeping his bear clan happy. Looking after the young takes all his time and energy, and there are the other clans around him to keep the peace with, the last thing he wants is a mate to mess his head up again.

Harmony meets Roan coming out of a field with nothing but his jeans😉 he offers his assistance when her truck breaks down, he’s cute, but Harmony just needs to get the truck fixed and be on her way.

Together Harmony and Roan have to face a few things together and their own demons (and why did Harmony promise her mother that she’d keep her sister safe and never stop running?) and if Roan and Harmony are mates, what was Roan’s first mate (do they have true mates? Or can they have more than one destined mate?)

I have to admit I liked the book, I liked the fact Harmony did her best to protect her sister, always looking out for her (even if the sister didn’t like or want the protection) and Roan was a good guy, putting others before himself.

The twist in the story is a good one, and it keep them together, or drive a wedge between the couple? We have conflict inside the bear community which also doesn’t help Roan and Harmony.

Then she comes across the warrior- wounded, wanting and irresistible. Andre has been craving her for an eternity: his lifemate. Her warmth envelops him. Her scent pulsates. And with every beat of her heart, Teagan surrenders to a passion she can’t possibly comprehend.

Now they are bound by destiny, but is it enough to keep them safe from a stalking, relentless darkness that threatens to swallow them alive?

My Review….

We’ve met Andre a few times in previous books….
Andre is classed as an ancient, he has lived in a colourless and emotionless world for centuries, his only reason for holding out now is his honour and duty to the Carpathian people.
Fighting the vampires have become a dangerous thing (if he gives in to the darkness) he feels he is becoming more and more like the thing he hunts.
Teagan is a geologist, she’s searching for certain gems to help her Grandmother (she’s losing her mind, muttering about vampires and monsters) no one believes Granny Trixie, so Teagan needs to find these gems.
After fighting a master vampire, Andre is mortally wounded, dragging himself to a cave, he weaves safeguards (he knows he won’t stop the vampire from finding him, but he hopes to slow him down, giving him time to heal) he intends to take the master vampire with him, but he’s not sure he has the strength.
Teagan is being drawn towards a cave, certain she will find the gem she is looking for, Teagan comes to find more than a gem….

This story is rather slow, we spend a lot of time recovering in the cave. We spend far too long having sex (pages and pages and pages🙄) but on the plus side, it was nice to have a more understanding Carpathian (most are far too arrogant and domineering) it would have been nice to have met some of the ancients in more detail. (Word has it that the next few books will revolve around the ancients and the monastery)

It did feel a little rushed, and it felt like it could have been a novella rather than a full book.
Oh and I hope we get to meet granny Trixie she was so funny.

Sunday’s Post ☕️

Went over to a friend’s house last night for a sleepover 😉 we watched a few new series and just spent time chatting and having fun.

So when I get back from work, it will be catching up on the washing. My dad is visiting on Sunday, so hoping the weather is a little better.

Legacy Found (Hell’s Valley Series. Book 4) by Jillian David

Following a traumatic accident in the Army, Kerr Taggart returns to Hell’s Valley to come to terms with the man he’s become, so he can take the biggest chance of his life . . . asking the beautiful and forbidden Izzy Brand out on a date.

But even if he achieves Mission Date Izzy Brand, Izzy’s family remains intent on destroying the Taggart family, and remains aligned with the rising supernatural creature plotting to steal Taggart land.

Meanwhile, Izzy is chafing against her family’s on-going vendetta, and rats out her own brothers to the Taggarts. A decision that turns the evil entity’s sights Izzy’s way.

Now, to save the woman he loves, Kerr Taggart must find a way to overcome his own demons and use his psychic powers, because this time . . . failure is not an option.

The Hell’s Valley Series
Legacy of Lies
Legacy Lost
Legacy of Danger
Legacy Found

My Review…..

Finally …. Kerr gets his book😄 he is brother to Garrison and Vaughn, and twin to Shelby (each have their own books.) They are the Taggart family and they own a ranch.

We start the book with a flash back, to when Kerr was in the army, we see the accident that alters Kerr’s life forever. He’s been bitter and angry for a long time. But seeing his siblings find love, Kerr wants that, and he knows exactly where to find it …..
Izzy is a Brand, but the Taggart’s and the Brand’s aren’t friends, in fact Izzy’s family have been trying to gain the Taggart’s ranch by any means necessary (including trying to kill a few of the family) Izzy isn’t like that, and she’s had enough, she’s sees an opportunity and informs Kerr and his family what her brothers are up to!!!
Seizing the chance, Kerr makes his intentions plain for Izzy. He will protect Izzy, don’t let the fact he’s got a prosthetic leg fool you into thinking he isn’t capable, he is and he will prove it to Izzy any way he can.
Each sibling had a unique quality/power that is theirs to own and control. Garrison can detect lies, Shelby can find anyone, anywhere and can see into the future, Vaughn has a built in danger and protection radar (it lets him know when bad things will happen to him) and Kerr has a psychic link to his twin and has the ability of knowing when danger will strike and how to combat it.
Now for those who have read the other books in this series (and to get the full story I think they need to be read in order) you’ll know there are forces controlling what’s going on. And each Taggart sibling has had to do battle in one form or another, and Kerr and Izzy are no exception. In fact because of Izzy telling the Taggart family what her family are planning, the evil stalking Kerr and his siblings turns its gaze upon Izzy, and now she’s in big trouble.
I’ve really enjoyed these books, there is the right amount steamy scenes (so many authors have pages and pages and pages of it🙄) and plenty of action and adventure thrown in.
So will the Kerr and the Taggart family win against the evil stalking them? And how will Izzy cope if Kerr has to kill her brothers?

Friday’s Post ☕️

it’s Friday. So here’s a drink for you to try 😉 cheers 🥂

Today was a pretty quiet day at work. Weather couldn’t make its mind up, and now I’m listening to the rain. Caught up with a few reviews (a couple of rough drafts) listened to music whilst I washed up and then read for a little while. Hoping this cold and wet weather isn’t in for the weekend.

My walk to work this morning.

Thursday’s Post 😎

I have to admit, I don’t reheat rice, but the pasta idea sounds good (but I usually pop a plate or lid onto It to create steam)😉

Delivery day and today brings a whole lot of new hassle…. it was really warm today, so we need to put it away as quick as possible….lucky me today, by the time I’d gotten in, half the deliver was put away, and with a few extra staff, I want needed at all 😉do I got to do my jobs straight away.

Weather again was lovely, but it’s on the change (so they say) by the weekend!! I don’t know who to believe somethings.

ANIMAL ATTRACTION (San Francisco Dragons Book 2) by Kate Willoughby

Random thoughts 💭

My friend I were talking about flowers, I mentioned I loved roses, she said she loved lilies, we got to talking, and we wondered where the tradition of lilies for funeral came from (why lilies?) …..
So I fired up my trusty google (and came up with a few theories…..

The lily is the flower most commonly associated with funeral services as they symbolize the innocence that has been restored to the soul of the departed. The white lily expresses majesty and purity, where as white stargazer lilies specifically symbolize sympathy.

But why do we use them and what do they mean?

We look into the history of funeral flowers as well as the symbolism behind the most commonly used funeral and sympathy flowers….

Today flowers are used at funerals as a visual expression of our sympathy, grief, love and respect to the deceased, but this was not always the case.

In early times, fragrant funeral flowers were placed on and around the casket of the deceased to perfume the area and ward off the smell of the decaying body.

Luckily, we found a better way to manage the odour, but the flower trend stayed.

Mid-Western funeral practices then saw the role of ‘Flower Ladies’ develop, a role as important as acting as a pall bearer.

Six ladies who were usually close friends or family of the deceased would carry the flowers into a flower vehicle and help to set them up at the cemetery.

However, this role faded and today everyone is welcome to express their feelings through flowers by bringing a flower arrangement that embodies their relationship and feelings towards the deceased and their family.

It is also now common to send sympathy flowers or a hamper to the home of close family of the deceased.

Common Funeral Flower Meanings

Lilies are perhaps the most popular flower at funeral services because of their representation of the innocence that has been restored in the soul of the deceased.

Any type of white lily is appropriate as they represent purity and majesty.

However, the white stargazer lily in particular symbolises sympathy, and features in many funeral and sympathy floral arrangements and bouquets.

Peace Lily

The peace lily has long been used in religious ceremonies as the flower represents peace, innocence, harmony and purity after death.

They are also thought to be associated with the resurrection of Jesus Christ because they die during winter and come back to life in the spring.

Just like white lilies, white roses represent purity and innocence, and are a common addition to sympathy and funeral flower arrangements.

Other colours of roses are also used to remember the deceased. Pink roses stand for love, grace and appreciation and are usually given to the bereaved, while dark red roses symbolise grief.

Yellow roses signify friendship and are given by friends of the deceased to represent their loyalty.

Potted orchids are a long-lasting elegant plant that make the perfect choice for a sympathy gift.

The exotic flower evokes feelings of renewal and innocence, and the orchid flower means ‘I will always love you’.

Chrysanthemums are a common feature in flower arrangements at funeral services because white chrysanthemums carry meanings associated with the death of a loved one, such as mourning and grief.

Besides their symbolism, the white blooms are used in bouquets and arrangements as a welcome, positive and cheerful tribute.

When carnations are used in funeral floral arrangements like comfort, they stand for love and admiration, but they are commonly used for their sweet long-lasting fragrance too.

Like orchids, each colour carnation has a different meaning; red symbolises admiration for a loved one that is deceased, pink stand for remembrance of the dead and white represent untainted love and innocence.

So there you go ….. originally to cover up bad smells. And lilies are pretty pungent. And before you know it, I’ve looked into other flowers as well 😉

Wednesday’s Post 😎

I’ll have to admit, if I’m really enjoying a book, I do find it hard to put down. There is that “I need to finish this book…. but if I do then I’ll have finished it and I then have to wait a year…but I need to finish this book” going on in my head 😆

Day off today, so I have a lovely day out with a very dear friend. We shopped, we lunched, we had such a nice time.

Tuesday’s Post ☕️

But I don’t think it’s suppose to be on toast 😉

Must admit I use to do that a lot, but not so much now, unless it’s a new book from a favourite author, or a review I’ve not finished for The Reading Cafe 😉

this is the rose from my grandad’s rose bush in the garden. It was too heavy for the stem. me on my way to work this morning. Sun was really warm on my back.

Book Review 👩🏻‍💻

R.C. Alvarez – Unchained Desire

Chained to a demon queen for hundreds of years, fallen angel Ramiel has given up on his brothers and sisters––and humanity. He has seven days away from hell to replenish his power and that’s all he cares about––right up until his meeting with the much too innocent Kyria. He fell for that act before and it landed him in hell, he won’t be making that mistake again.

To save her sick father, Kyria knows she must find Ramiel. He’s dark, brooding and everything Kyria should be scared of, but the haunted look in his eyes makes her think there’s more to him. The tattoos and chains don’t frighten her either, but the connection she has with him does. When strange creatures attack her, Ramiel steps in to protect her. Ramiel believes he’s reluctantly helping Kyria, but what neither of them knows is that she may be the one to save them all…

My Review

Reading the back cover of Unchained Desire by R.C. Alvarez, I was really interested to see how this would go…

Ramiel has been chained to a Demon Queen for centuries, humanity, oh please, the humans are all selfish and self centered. The only family he cares about are his brothers and sisters, and he hasn’t heard or seen them in a while. He is given seven days to replenish his energy (he needs blood) and that’s all he cares about now.

He wasn’t always this way, but meeting an innocent (who wasn’t so innocent) he was trapped, he now serves a Demon Queen, tortured and chained. But he hopes one day to be released, but he doesn’t know how or if ever.

Kyria is on the run!! Why?? And why does the tattoo like mark on the back of her neck ache? It’s been like that for the past two weeks. Her father has given her no choice, they have to run. After six years of some semblance of normality, they have to leave the ranch they’ve been living in and run again. Why? The cartel have found Darius (her dad) and Kyria, her mother had been murdered years ago and are after Darius. Her only friend Eli is concerned, but Darius is convinced Eli is part of the cartel (Eli’s father is the head, supposedly) and her dad keeps ranting about demons and keeping her safe.

In the bar, Ramiel is having a hard time, he feels out of sorts, he knows he should feed, but there is something not right. And he’s proven correct…. in she walks with an innocent and purity that sets his teeth on edge, but also a want (and last time he paid for it dearly) and when she approaches him to help her father (a man that helped put him where he is today) Ramiel tells her that he won’t help.

Kyria is crushed, her father needs help and she thought this Ramiel works help, but he’s arrogant and rude and really hot, but when he tells Kyria that her dad doesn’t deserve help, she needs to convince him.

And when a demon attacks Kyria, Ramiel has no choice but to help. But there is a price, and he doesn’t want to pay it. But Kyria could be Ramiel’s saviour, but will he trust her enough? And what secret does Kyria hold?

Unchained Desire was well written.  Ramiel and Kyria connected and the story really flowed. Very descriptive, I really liked it.

Monday’s Post 😎

Monday for some is the start of a dreaded work week. Me, I like Monday’s, it doesn’t worry me about starting the working week again (but if I won the lottery I wouldn’t be working for long😉)

Weather was lovely today, washing on the line, a coffee in the garden, and then my week starts.

Catching up with the last few Carpathian’s, making notes, then reading the book to make sure it’s correct (once I’ve read a book, I can usually tell you what’s happening if you ask me months later.) rough copies are on my phone, which i then correct, adjust and add. The final copy gets pasted onto my blog, then it’s copy and paste for all the other sites I leave reviews on.

A catch up with a friend in town, and I’m back home to bring in a pile of towels on the line.

Sun out today and it was really nice 😎 hoping another sunny day tomorrow

Book Review 📖

Dark Crime …. A Carpathian Novella by Christine Feehan

Back cover ……

Blaze McGuire knows who killed her father and she has merciless plans for payback. Until a phone call from a seductive stranger pleads with her to wait. Retribution is in his blood, too. Now, he and Blaze will be united in the blood of the guilty. Tonight, vengeance is theirs.

My Review……

A short book, but boy does it pack a lot in.
Blaze wants revenge, a group of thugs under the instructions of their boss, beat and killed her father. They were all each other had (Blaze has a Best Friend) he taught her everything, and she brought sunshine into his life.
Blaze has rigged the bar that they owned, as soon as the thugs come in ….. BOOM!!!! She is really expecting to come out alive, but she will have her revenge.
Ringing a number her father had been given, Blaze goes to leave instructions and the deeds to the bar (there is no way she’s going to leave a chance that the bar will fall into the hands)
But fate has a different plan for Blaze ……

Maxim is a Carpathian Hunter/warrior and now joint nightclub owner (not by choice) Maxim and Tariq (his business partner) are aware things are going on in their area, (they know a bar is being targeted by the undead!! Why??) But all that fades into insignificance when Maxim hears HER voice ……

Maxim and Blaze make a great team. Figuring things out that will make you go …. 😱the vampires have a cunning and horrific plan, and it’s coming to fruition.
Dark crime brings us a whole new breed of Carpathian warriors ….. known as the Ancients (they were warriors for Mikhail’s father, so that makes them REALLY old)

Sunday’s Post ☕️

Weather started off a little cloudy and chilly, by the end of the day, we’ve had sun, cloud a few spots of rain. Weather is SUPPOSE to be getting warmer (we will see, I’m not putting the umbrella away just yet) 😉

This morning I caught up with the last of my reviews. They have all been sent off to The Reading Cafe. Now I get to concentrate on the books I’m reading just for my blog (I do post on Good Reads, amazon and Pinterest, there is also NetGalley and Book Bub). The Carpathian series is almost at an end. (enjoyed re-Reading them) I have a few series on my shelves that need a Re-read and reviews) also my kindle is filling up with free books on amazon. I also found Prolific Works for free reads, but the downside is you have to sign up for the authors news letter (and my email is full of news letters😉) NetGalley will send you books, but you have to send in a review within a few weeks of requesting a book. Book Bub is just a place to leave reviews (like Good Reads) it’s American based, so you can press on the book to buy, but it takes you to amazon USA (and i can’t buy them in the uk) Pinterest I have a board on which I post my blog reviews.

Spent some quality time with a friend, watching a new series on Netflix 😉 went over to see my stepdaughter and her daughter.

Before you know it, it’s time wrap the day up, shower and bed.

Saturday’s Post 📚

Rose bud from my Garden

As promised my first bloom of the year. It’s off my grandad’s rose bush. But I don’t think it will be too long before the other bushes catch up.

Oh and a Happy Mother’s Day to anyone celebrating today. I know other places celebrate it, and it’s a different day from the UK 💐

A day off from work is always nice, a weekend is even nicer, after doing housework I rewarded myself with a read 😉 got a few rough copies for the reviews I’m doing for The Reading Cafe. And found time to browse google for a topic I’ll post in a few days time.

Popped up to tidy my daughters grave. And spent a few quality hours with a friend watching Netflix 😉

Random Thought 💭

I have a question……

How do you place your books on a shelf, floor or window sill ??

I use to stack mine like this before I got my shelves (and I always wanted the ones at the bottom) 😆😉

I go by the series and in release order …. I’m also trying to keep the author’s books together (that reminds me I need to move a few series around)

I’ve seen lots of pictures going by colours 🤨

How’s that for orderly …. size and colour

coloured and with all those bobble heads. I’d really like a Wonder Woman one 😉don’t think the books I read have any bobble heads !!

That’s clever … love the spiral in the middle. And all the mugs. I’ve got a few mugs

So ….

How do you stack yours ?

Random Thought 🤔

  • Question : Do you have an author that is on your auto-buy/read? Tell us about her/him.
  • Answer: My automatic author buys are Christine Feehan and J.R. Ward, and Sherrilyn Kenyon.

    Christine Feehan……

Christine Feehan is a #1 New York Timesbestselling author, with 78 published works in seven different series: Dark Series, GhostWalker Series, Leopard Series, Drake Sisters Series, Sea Haven Series, Shadow Series, and Torpedo Ink Series. All seven of her series have hit the #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list.

Christine lives in the beautiful Redwoods near the ocean on California’s Pacific North Coast surrounded by family, friends and several dogs.

I was introduced to this author by an old work colleague, as soon as I read Dark Fire, I was hooked ….

I then brought as many as I could of the Dark series, from there it was her leopard series and the rest of her series. I pre-order all her books. I have a selection of hardback, paperback, audio and kindle.

    Sherrilyn Keynon …..

Sherrilyn is best known for her Dark-Hunter series that she first published in 1984, which comprise the Dark-Hunters, Were-Hunters, Dream-Hunters, Lords of Avalon, Chronicles of Nick and Hellchasers stories. The books deviate from traditional vampire stories in that the vampires, called Daimons, only live twenty-seven years due to a curse from the god Apollo who appears frequently in the series. To elongate their lives, the Daimon vampires are forced to take human souls in order to live. Apollo’s sister, the goddess Artemis, set up an army of immortal warriors called the Dark-Hunters to kill the Daimons and free the human souls before the souls die. A few of the original Dark-Hunter heroes were taken out of fantasy stories Sherrilyn wrote in middle and high school.

During the mid-1980s, while working for a small science fiction magazine called The Cutting Edge, her boss asked her to write a long-running serial for the magazine. She brought many of her favorite characters from her previous fantasies into one larger series. This was the start of the Dark-Hunter world.

Her series is completely different from CF (Christine Feehan) and there are several spin offs that all interlink with each other.

    And finally ……

    J. R. Ward ……

J.R. Ward is the author of over thirty novels, including those in her #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling series, The Black Dagger Brotherhood. There are more than 15 million copies of Ward’s novels in print worldwide and they have been published in 25 different countries around the world.

After graduating from law school, Ward began working in healthcare in Boston and spent many years as Chief of Staff of one of the premier academic medical centers in the nation. She lives in the south with her incredibly supportive husband and her beloved golden retriever. Writing has always been her passion and her idea of heaven is a whole day of nothing but her computer, her dog and her coffee pot.

This series had to be one of the best, full of sarcasm, humour and heartache. The characters are just a really good read.

So there you have it, my three most favourite authors. I have a few others that I like and I will buy ….

Kresley Cole …… Immortals after Dark

Alexandra Ivy ….. Guardians of Eternity

    Lara Adrian ….. Midnight Breed.

Coreen Callahan ….. Dragon fury series.

Gena Showalter…… Lords of the Underworld.

They are my go to authors and my authors to buy if I have spare cash 😉

Are there any in here you’ve read? Is there anyone you would recommend ?

If you do read any of these, or fancy reading one, I’d love to hear what you thought.

    Thursday’s Post ☕️

I’ve been busy scheduling review posts and doing writing for those reviews. I’ve got a few on the go at the moment, and that’s not including the books I’m re-reading at the moment (The Carpathian Series) or planning on reading next.

Weather has been really bad today. Rain and a few hailstones have made it a rather cold and dark day.

    Book Review 📱

Double Dippin’ (Texas Threesome Book 1) by Em Petrova

Running the office for a saddle-making business shouldn’t make Posy squirm in her chair, but with two bosses who look like underwear models, she can barely contain her lust for the sexy-as-sin owners.

Trouble brews when both men make a play for Posy. While the cowboys have much more than a working relationship, Alex isn’t willing to share. But Loren won’t stand back and let Alex have his way, especially when there’s room for a smart and smoking-hot woman in their bed.

    My review……

It’s a really short story, in fact I’d say it read like a snippet or a

Posy works in a store that makes handmade saddles, she really enjoys the work, phoning customers and keeping the office running. But the best part of Posy’s day….. is when either Loren or Alex swing by.

Alex has known Posy since childhood, they’ve been friends all through growing up, but for a while now, Alex has seen Posy in a different light, she’s all grown up and filled out nicely. And the bonus ……. she’s single finally!!! (Her long term boyfriend recently dumped her) but Alex has a problem, if he asks Posy out on a date and it goes wrong, he’s lost a great worker and a good friend.

Loren hadn’t known Posy as long, (since college) but he has been asked to rescue her a few times. His feelings towards Posy are pretty much the same as Alex’s, but Loren doesn’t know Alex is interested in her!!!! Oh and to throw a spanner in the works …… Loren and Alex are secretly dating!!! (We aren’t told the reason why it’s a secret)

It all comes to a head when it Valentine’s Day the next day, and both Alex and Loren bring flowers and chocolates to Posy (both wanting to take her out) Posy can’t choose, so they ask if she wants both!!!!

So if your looking for a quick naughty read, then “Double Dipping” could be the book for you 😉

    Book Review 📖

Dark Blood …. A Carpathian Novel by Christine

    Back Cover …….

Zev Hunter was an elite warrior, a dark-blood dealer of death to rogue Lycans who preyed on mankind. He was a loner, never given to personal attachments, and damned fierce at his job. But Zev begins to question his past and his purpose when he awakens in the darkness of the sacred cave of warriors-and is soothed back to consciousness by the sensuously familiar voice of one woman, the woman who has haunted his fantasies for centuries: Branislava, member of the Dragonseeker clan.

Mother Earth called the ancients to witness your rebirth . . .

For this half-mage, half-Carpathian temptress, the ritual of awakening Zev to the council of warriors was the only way to save him. Locked away for his own protection, the time has now come for his rebirth, for his blood to stir with that of the ancient warriors before him. He has been assured by Branislava that their fates are entwined, that their spirits are woven together for eternity and that his new purpose in life is beyond imagining.

Now, with a blood-sworn vow of honor, mercy and endurance, and under the influence of a siren as bewitching as Branislava, Zev begins to wonder what his purpose is, what it means for the future of the Carpathians and what it is about his rebirth that he has to fear . . .

    My Review…..

The third and final story to this trilogy.

Zev was in the last two books, he hunts rogue werewolves. He’s friends with Fenris, and he guarded Dimitri when he was held prisoner. He wasn’t happy with Dimitri’s treatment, but he didn’t stop what they were doing to him.  And in the last book he was mortally wounded, and the decision was made to turn him into a Carpathian. Laying in the ground to regenerate, it gives him time to think. And when he finally rises …..

Branislava is the sister to Tatijana, the quieter one, the less adventurous one. But sensing the turmoil that Zev is facing, she does a rash and almost dangerous thing….

He’s a Carpathian, he’s a warrior, but he isn’t sure he belongs anywhere, and with an amazing Carpathian woman tying herself to him, telling him that their fates are tied together, if he dies, she will go with him. That’s a huge responsibility. But he’s fascinated by her, meeting her once before, his thoughts are consumed with her, he can’t and won’t let her down…..

I liked this book, there was a connection that intrigued me, a Carpathian woman usually waits for her lifemate to claim her, but she sensed that Zev didn’t really want to stay in this world, and the Carpathian people needed him, he would be an asset, but with mixed blood running through his veins, would he be able to contain the darkness that would be crouching inside him? Waiting to lure him away from Branislava ….

Mother Nature really doesn’t know what she wants to do at the moment!! We had everything (except snow) thrown at us through the day!!!

    Wednesday’s Post 🌤

A mixed bag weather wise today. But it managed to stay dry and fairly warm.

And it’s May already (I am waiting for someone to tell me on FB how many days left till Christmas!!

I really don’t need to know that thanks 😉

These are the Rose bushes I have in my garden (in memory of my grandad, mum and daughter)

    My Grandads Rose 🌹

My mum’s Rose bush (it’s actually called MUM IN A MILLION)

And Kim’s rose bush ….. butterflies and a cherub is next to her tree.

It’s bigger as it’s more established. As soon as they really start to bloom I take more pictures

    Welcome May 💐

I have to apologise, I meant to write on here….. I had organised my blog, and thought I’d schedule May (I then was going to go back and add something) obviously I’d forgotten.

I have a few books to read for TRC (The Reading Cafe) that’s the blog page I guest read and review for.

Nothing out from the authors I read (a blog post coming up about my favourite authors)

And I’m almost coming up to the end of my reading the Dark Series (by Christine Feehan) it’s an ongoing series, but I’ve almost caught up.

May brings Grace’s (my granddaughter) birthday round again…. can’t believe she’s going to be 5!!!!

It would have been my grandads birthday this month also.
