One of those days today …..
We had a team meeting this morning, so it was an early start. Get to work, and everyone is outside, it’s not long till the meeting, but no one is moving indoors!!
We finally get the meeting underway, and it’s ok, until the new manager asks if there are any questions….well, that just opens up a whole world of trouble. There are a few people who love to chat, and love the sound of their own voices. And before you know it, they’ve lost control and half an hour.
Finally the meeting is done, and we need to finish putting away the delivery. So it’s done, but now we have to rush around and try to get ready for lunch time service.
Oh and then …… we get a visit from the Health and safety board (you just couldn’t write this stuff) so the temporary kitchen manager has to follow the officer around (and then a meeting to discuss the findings) I’m then roped in to help on starters 😉 so I’m helping on starters, trying to prep the salads, and do a little potwash (Tuesday is usually a quiet day) I kid you not, I think I met myself several times😉and being a really hot day, I must have drunk buckets of iced water.
Looking forward to my day off tomorrow.
