Micheal/Mikey has lived a solitary life, he had done ever since the only person he loved was taken from him…..
Daisy moved from the Louisiana to Mitchell in Indiana for a slower pace of life, but wouldn’t you know it, that’s not going to happen, six murders in her town and no damn clues as to who is it, or where he will stroke next. It’s so frustrating, all she needs is one lucky break, then she’s going to hunt this bastard down and take him out …..
Driving into Mitchell, (Indiana) Micheal thinks he’ll get a break, he needs a little peace and solitude. He’s a cop, and a good one, but his last case was a bad one, a rapist and a killer, but the killer got his comeuppance (his last victim literally stopped his heart!)
Daisy is both irritated and intrigued at the stranger before her. He seems like an ok guy, but is it a coincidence that he’s here? Could he have knowledge of the murders? Or is he part of it?
I really liked this prequel, I had wished it to be longer, there was a few things wrong with it, in parts it felt a little jumpy, and things were wrapped up a little too quick and neat. I understand it’s a novella, but we could have had a little more of the murders background and thought process.
