It’s Saturday, so here’s a drink for you to try 
Yay it’s Saturday…. yay it’s delivery day!! The weather behaved today. Which helped, and now we are back serving breakfast over the weekend, it’s all a little rushed. But as usual (with minutes to spare) I get the salad cart out and bread rolls warm in their basket. The wash up area looked like a bomb has gone off!! So it was a toss up between sorting that out, and putting and prepping my salads. Pot-wash won (if the waitresses can’t leave their plates there, then that’s when breakages happen) it doesn’t take me long, but that’s not really the point (I don’t think the people I work with have a clue) I find the chefs are the worse, they just dump and walk away, the amount of times I’ve asked them to stack (it’s not sinking in) if I don’t ask daily, then it doesn’t happen!!!
Keeping on top of both pot-wash and salads can be a little tricky (if you get caught in one area for too long, the other one suffers, plates pile up, or containers of salad get low or empty) we’ve been promised someone to do that area for ages (still waiting) on a week day it’s not too bad, but Saturday, what with delivery, it’s just a little tricky. Oh well, kept me on my toes today 😉
