This is a short story, it’s from a collection of authors, so none are connected.
Max is living on borrowed time.
Maximillian was escaping the French Revolution (he had already seen his parents killed) with the help of his loyal servants. But Max wasn’t expecting to shoved into a wardrobe, and the woman he thought of as a second mother, to start muttering strange words and lights to come from her hands……
He’s been thrown forward in time. His mission is to find the angel he saw in a vision. He needs to find her. But there’s a catch, he has to get this woman to fall in love with him, and she has to announce it in front of witnesses.
Allie loves fashion, it’s her career, it’s her life, and nothing is more important. So why would her friends send her to France. Nothing to do but drink wine and visit cold and damp castles.
Allie couldn’t care less, she just wants to go home.
Max and Allie meet and it’s practically lust at first sight.
