Saturday’s Post

What a long day.

Delivery day as normal. A reasonable size, and I had help. A light drizzle had us making haste. A damp box is an awkward box.

We were short staffed so I said I’d stay for a few hours extra. The day went pretty quick, we were busy and I was kept on my toes with pot wash and salads.

Had a few guests who were a little trying, asking for bowls, and when I told them they had to wait for a waitress I got an eye roll. I had to keep the salad cart topped up, requests for bread rolls and butter was on going.

The walk home was welcoming, I’d worked up a sweat, so walking home gave me a chance to cool down.
