Oceans of Fire (A Drake Sisters Novel) book 3. By Christine Feehan
As the third daughter in a magical bloodline, Abigail Drake was born with a mystical affinity for water, and possessed a particularly strong bond with dolphins. She spent her entire life studying them, learning from them, and swimming among them in the waters off her hometown of Sea Haven.
Until the day Abby witnessed a cold-blooded murder on shore, and found herself fleeing for her life — right into the arms of Aleksandr Volstov.
He’s an Interpol agent on the trail of stolen Russian antiquities, a relentless man who gets what he goes after — and the man who broke Abby’s heart. But he isn’t going to let the only woman he ever loved be placed in harm’s way — or slip away from his embrace…
Aleksandr is back in town, she probably wishes she was a mermaid. He broke her heart years ago, left her to be interrogated and bullied by his colleagues, then hustled out of Russia. And when he makes it clear he wants her back, Abigail doesn’t know what to do!!
Aleksandr is an Interpol agent, his investigations have brought him to Sea Haven, hunting thieves who have stolen Russian antiques. He remembers his Abigail, he broke her heart when he left her to defend herself, but given another chance to be with her, Aleksandr won’t make the same mistake, he wants a home and the only woman he ever wanted it with is within his grasp.
This is the first book that’s not a novella. The chase that brings Aleksandr back to Abigail is interesting, and it gets you looking for clues as to who the dealer is.
We get to catch up with the her sisters, and we get an environmental angle as well (dolphins and they’re habits) we get to play detective as to who the murder is and why was the other person killed.
I like this series. I like the interaction between the sisters. There are plenty of laughs (the men in their lives, and how they interact with the women)
The close knit community of Sea Haven is evident in the writers words.
Dangerous Tides is next and I can’t wait.

I love Aleksandr Volstov, he’s hot and dangerous. A no nonsense kind of man and this story has so much lovin’ and action. Oh, baby 😉 ❤
