Kaitlyn has been away, but now she’s back in her hometown, after living with her beloved aunt, she’s ready to face her demons. And the people who live here, and just maybe find love……
Out with her best friend, they go to a bar which is holding a stripper event, not usually Kaitlyn’s thing, but she needs a little fun in her life. The family house is in ruins, and she needs to do two jobs just to make ends meet and to complete the maintenance on the house.
Landon Duke or “Duke” to his friends is bored, bored of the same thing, after being a rodeo star “Sir Loin of Beef” for many years, he’s had his fill of women thrown off themselves at him, he wants what his parents have, he wants “the one”, but he won’t be on his own, his childhood friend and rodeo partner will be in on the action too.
Jed works in his bar, he likes the job, keeps him busy after years on the rodeo circuit. Usually he takes up the offers the ladies throw at him, but tonight he feels different.
They meet, they have fun in Jed’s office, then Kaitlyn is pulling away and running for home!!!
What Jed and Duke don’t realise and Kaitlyn does is the fact her drunken father almost killed Duke’s parents. Ashamed of what she did, Kaitlyn vows never to see the cowboys again!!!
Oh and don’t forget her stalker!! After two failed dates, he just won’t take no for an answer!!!
So will they all get a happy ending? Will the Duke family be able to look past her family history and move on? Will Kaitlyn be able to forgive herself?
That was a cringeworthy read. It did read like a porn movie at one point, and that did make me laugh.
But it was a fun filled couple of hours. And if you read it for what it’s meant to be you’ll be laughing too.
