Stolen by the Fae: Paranormal Romance (Fae’s Claim Book 1) by Laxmi Hariharan

Mine to protect. Mine to claim… She is MINE

DANTE…..

I’m a trained assassin. Enlisted by the Fae Corps and instructed to kill, there is no place in my life for a fated mate.

Then Gia crashes into my life.

Flashing eyes,

luscious lips that beg to be kissed.

One whiff of her sugary scent and I know she is MINE.

But she’s human, and no way can she withstand the barbaric mating practices of the Fae.

I am too lethal,

I should stay away.

When she takes the hit meant for my target, I cannot let her die.

So I do the only thing that will save her life…

I form a soul-bond with the unconscious human.

I want to make her bend to my will.

I hadn’t reckoned with craving her emotions, her feelings. Her love…

When she breaks out of my lair, I will do anything to get her back.

This time I will make her submit her all…

This time she cannot escape,

Gia is MINE

My Review……

Gia is a human agent, in fact she’s the first human to be inducted into the Shifter Bureau of Intelligent. She’s going to set the trend, if she can prove herself, she will set the way for more humans to join.

Dante is a Fae assassin, charged with killing the new Fae leader Amara, she wants to form alliances with many other forms of life, that’s not the Fae way, so she’s got to die. The Fae Elders don’t want alliances, they think themselves superior to all other forms of life.

Killing Amara won’t be a problem, the problem comes from a human shield that stands in the way of the bolt of energy that was aimed for Amara horrified, Dante grabs the human female and teleports away…..

Dante and Gia have a lust at first sight meeting. A hot moment has them almost forgetting their assignments, almost. But Dante recovers quicker and leaves Gia wondering why.

Dante knows she’s his mate, but it’s not the right time. But when is ever the right time? And when they meet again at the inauguration of the new fae leader, Dante almost kills Gia. So he does the one thing he really shouldn’t do, he does a soul-bond with her. Tying her to him forever.

Watching him fight his feelings for Gia was interesting, he knows who she is to him, he’s torn, a loyal solider, a good assassin, and now that’s all thrown away, all because of her!! He is an arrogant male. Totally conceited, a male you just want to smack. But as he gets to know her, it fun to watch her wrap him around her finger.

I have to admit, the book is good, some of the dialogue is a little cheesy and a little cringeworthy. But it’s a solid story, the characters are great, I could imagine the hunky Dante with no problem. And the other characters that were in this book were well fleshed out.

The action scenes I felt could have been a little better. And maybe less sex (it goes on chapter after chapter!)

It’s the first in a five book series. I’m hoping we get to see Amara with her own story and that fiery dragon shifter Jessica, who is Gia’s friend gets one too.

A new author and series is always a shot in the dark. And told by the first person, not always my favourite type of book.

But for most of the book I enjoyed it. Alpha males who fall hard and fast, and kicka$$ females who don’t back down.
