Hiding from the Coven (Daughters of the Warlock Book 2) by Amelia Shaw

Description….

She’s a witch on the run, with the Council’s most dangerous assassins on her tail.

Ava has been tried and convicted of the worst possible crime: Treason against the High Warlock, and the Council. Sentenced to death, she managed to escape her fate with help from some Fae friends, but those friends can’t keep her safe much longer.

The Council has put a bounty on Ava’s head that has every bad guy in the Universe looking for her. Her only choice? Return home to her sisters and hide, as their mother had for so many years, and hope she doesn’t meet the same dark fate.

But Ava wasn’t born to hide. With her mother’s strength and her father’s power, standing up for her place as Heir to the Council may endanger her life, but it’s her birthright, and she’s not going down without a fight.

My Review …….

Second book sees Ava hiding from the Fae, they’d condemned her to death, a huge bounty has everyone looking for her, it would be safer and wiser for her to go back to her mother’s home and hide with her sister’s.

But Ava isn’t a coward, she won’t back down from a fight, not will she put her sister’s in danger.

Her attraction to Tavlor is mostly on her side, the half breed Fae guard seems to want to kiss her one moment and then wants to hand her into the council the next. But there is something between them, she just doesn’t know what!

She’s loving being back with sisters, but they can’t stay there forever, she’s aware that if the council find out about her sisters, then they will be in danger also.

Ava is learning more about her father and the council, and she’s not sure if she can trust her father, he wants to know his daughters, but when it came to stepping up and claiming her, he couldn’t do it!

We stay with Ava and sisters for most of the book, we watch as they practise magic more. Ava is looking for a legitimate reason for the high council to listen to her, and possibly claim her birthright, but I feel Ava only wants to know her father.

And when it’s handed to her, she’s rather shocked, she did think they would just try to kill her.

So will Ava get her chance to defend herself? Will she be able to see her father after this? And will Tavlor be hers forever?
