Kindle Review…. A Vampire Bewitched (Deathless Night) book 1 by L.E. Wilson📱

A Vampire Bewitched (Deathless Night) book 1 by L.E. Wilson

This book was previously published with a different cover and the title “Blood Hunger”.

A vampire needs his mate to survive, but can he protect her from the most dangerous threat of all?

Nikulas Kreek has been searching for his brother for seven long years. Now, with the first lead he’s had in a long time, he discovers a witch went missing a few weeks before it happened. Coincidence? No way. Even better, the witch has a sister who might have more information. And that sister is hot. Like model hot. Nikulas knows as soon as he sets eyes on her strawberry-blond head he should stay far away. But the moment he tastes her, he realizes it’s too late. She has bewitched him.

Emma Moss still has nightmares about the night her sister was kidnapped, but she refuses to give up hope. So, when a seductive stranger calls claiming to have a new lead, she doesn’t hesitate to meet him. He seems harmless enough with his teasing manner and Hollywood pretty-boy looks. However, she can sense something more—a predatory air of danger that should warn her away. But her sister’s life is at stake. And she has no other leads. So, she agrees to go with him.

Bound together by their shared cause, tormented by their fated attraction, they set out to hunt down their siblings.

A vampire needs his mate to survive, but can he protect her from the most dangerous threat of all? Himself.

My Review……

Nikulas “Nik” is searching for his long lost brother. He knows who took him, he just can’t catch a break! It’s been seven long years, and still no word or sign.

But when his break comes in the shape of a witch, there is nothing he wouldn’t do to get his brother back, even if it means selling this cute and curvy witch down the river!

Emma still can’t believe it’s been seven years since monsters came for her sister, and ravaged her body!

She may change homes and jobs, but her focus remains the same, find a clue to her sisters whereabouts and bring her home…..

Book one in this series.

Wow! Great read. Lots of action, really well written.

Bringing a slightly different view to vampires, these still need blood to survive, they still don’t like the sunlight (get pretty crispy) but they can’t mate with other vampires, it has to be a human (so they can’t turn their human, but give them blood to extend their life)

You get lots of action before the smut starts 😉and even then I don’t think it’s too much.

We get to meet the clan that belongs to Luukas, he’s the Master Vampire.

But this story is about his brother. Who feels guilty that he hasn’t found his brother yet! And if the rest of his council find out their Master is missing, then they will demand Nik takes his place as leader!

He’s looking for another vampire who took his brother (she’s under the assumption they should be mates, and rule together) she’s hidden herself pretty well for the last seven years, but finding Emma could mean finding his brother, so he needs to persuade her that she needs to help him.

But in doing so he finds out that Emma is his fated mate! Her blood tastes sublime, she energises him like no other. But he doesn’t want a mate, not after killing the only other woman he loved! But staying away from her is proving difficult.

I did like Nik, his sense of duty was admirable, his loyalty to his brother and clan mates was unwavering.

What I wasn’t impressed with was the fact he kept pulling Emma towards him, getting her hopes up, and then pushing her away!

Emma is a witch, but she doesn’t know it. Strange things might happen to her, but she hasn’t even considered that she’s not fully human.

When her sister was taken from her, it left her alone. No family or friends.

And when the monsters that abducted Keira turned their attention towards her, she honestly thought they would kill her. How she got away always puzzled her, but it left her physically and emotionally scarred.

Emma faces her feelings for Nik, she’s surprised and scared at first, but then realising the monsters were real, it renews her goal in finding her sister.

Loved the additional characters, and can’t wait to read their stories.

You can read this book on its own, but as the story grabbed me, I wanted to know more about the other characters.

And as he keeps pushing her away, you do have to wonder if they will ever be together.

“Don’t ever hide yourself from me,” he said softly. “I couldn’t stand it. I love you. All of you. I only wish I’d been there to protect you.” Lowering his head, he wrapped his arms around her and whispered in her ear, “I’ll never let anything like that happen to you again. I swear it.” Emma turned in his arms, and this time he let her. Wrapping her arms around his lean waist, she told him, “I love you, too. And I’m going to hold you to that.” Excerpt from A Vampire Bewitched

More About the Author…..

L.E. Wilson writes Paranormal Romance with Bite starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to tame them — for the most part anyway. 😉 In her novels you’ll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, some humor, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance.

Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did she know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change her life.

Peach tea and her tiara are a necessary part of her writing process, though sometimes you’ll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees. On the weekends she likes to hike, garden, cook vegan food, and have date nights with her favorite guy.
