This is book four, but there is no need to have read the other three, some of the other characters are in this one, but I haven’t read two of the other books so I didn’t feel I’ve missed anything.
Ryan is back at the family farm, he’s burnt out, he’s been living the fast lane life, until a beautiful woman took him on a ride he couldn’t wait to get off! He intends to life a more simple life now, and the farm feels like the balm his soul needs.
Julie is at her wits end!! Her son use to be such a sweet boy, now he’s angry all the time!! Being almost kicked out of school has Julie pulling at her hair! But with a few suggestions from the unhelpful principal (you need a man type of help!) and a few more helpful suggestions from the school, Julie tries to move forward…..
They catch up with each other at a dating meet and greet!!
Both are surprised to see one another (Ryan thought Julie would have left the town years ago) Julie is the first to make a break for it!! She’s terrified Ryan will find out the truth….
I must admit, Ryan thinking about his first love Julie, didn’t really inspire me (maybe because other books have claimed they never forgot their first love) he hadn’t really thought much about her since coming home (this was where he met and fell in love with her! Why wouldn’t he think more of her here than anywhere else?!) And his mother was a funny, anyone would think he couldn’t look after himself (gave the impression of a mummy’s boy) 😂
Julie has her hands full, and as we’ve probably guessed why (if her boyfriend was a shifter, then hello, wouldn’t it stand to reason the boy could be one too?) but she has no clue!
When they finally meet up, emotions are bombarding them both. (Although Julie does run away before he can talk to her)
So can Ryan convince Julie he won’t run away from his responsibilities? Can he also get her to possibly, maybe, could she date him? And can he get his head around the fact he’s a father? Shouldn’t he be angry?
And can Julie move forward and let Ryan into their son’s life? And will she let Ryan in? Can she? But if she does, and he moves away, what then? It would totally destroy her.
Oh and don’t forget Corey (their son) is he a shifter?
That’s a lot of questions that need answering, so it might be better if you go read the book.
