Kindle Review The Virgin Hunt Games by Mel Teshco

The Virgin Hunt Games by Mel Teshco

Description….

EARTH, YEAR 2324

Melody Simmons desperately needs to fill her bank accounts with credits that could help her family climb out of near poverty. And in the Virgin Hunt Games, that means enticing as many hunters as possible to bed her. The downside? Billions of viewers from all parts of the galaxy would be watching her fall from virtue with avid interest.

Alien Damon Banscott despises everything about the Virgin Hunt Games. Except the fact he can now legally destroy his enemy in the games. He is in this only for revenge. Then Damon sees one of the beautiful hunted and, for a moment, his heart stops beating. He’ll fight to the death before allowing another hunter to touch and deflower Melody.

But while the hunters get more credits by pleasing their captive mate sexually, the hunted women received more by finding their pleasure with any of the hunters who weren’t their assigned mate.

Let the games begin…

My Review …..
I’ve been seeing a lot of alien game books on the usual platforms, and I wasn’t really sold on the idea!
But reading the blurb on the back of this got my interest piqued, so I downloaded it.
And I’m glad I did, the characters are great, the story is really good. It flows really well, and the descriptions will have you seeing a movie playing in your mind. A little like The Hunger Games (but for adults)😉 A tower with different levels and a few surprises to either aid or confuse the contestants.
Damon is heir to Saberlynth, so he doesn’t really need to participate in the games, but he needs to prove to his kingdom he will be a good leader, and to himself that he can defend his throne and people. So going undercover seemed like the best option (he can reveal himself at the end of the games) well that’s the story he’s told himself….. he wants revenge on the assassin that killed his father and threw them into a war with the aliens that sent the assassin, he’s found out that Bastion has entered the games. So if Damon can find and deflower Bastion’s prize before his enemy can, then that’s going to be a bonus, and if Bastion “accidentally” dies, then Damn will see that as a double bonus.
And when Damon discovers that Melody is Bastion’s prize, well he’s going to make sure that we will be the only one to satisfy the cute human!!!!
The games are a throw back from Ancient Greece. Men would enter contests of strength, the games in the future still hold great feats of strength, but the prize isn’t a medal, it’s the “de flowering of a virgin”!
“So those are the rules, folks. The women have seven days to prove their mettle. Seven days in which to evade capture from their drawn hunter…or to succumb to ecstasy in another hunter’s arms.”
The women need to evade their “mate” that gets them more credits, but if she has sex with the other “hunters” then she gets even more credits!!
The women usually do it for a better life, and it’s better than being kidnapped and sold as a slave!!
Melody is one of those women, a human woman that wants a better life for herself and her family, evading her chosen hunter will be difficult but she’s up for a challenge. And if she wants to earn more credits, well that’s for her to decide.
The draw between Melody and Damon is almost instant. Both feel an attraction, although they both know that after the games have ended they’ll go their separate ways. But the more time they spend together evading the hunters and getting to know one another, the harder it’s going to end this intense attachment.
The fight scenes are well thought out. Pretty graphic in places, inventive in others parts. Melody is no shrinking wallflower and can take down the hunters with few problems. Evading Bastion is her main goal, and keeping one step ahead proves challenging.
And although it’s all about having sex, there is a large amount of romance and tender moments with Damon and Melody.
I’d love to know more about the other characters, I’d love more books to accompany this one.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
