THE VIRGIN HUNT GAMES, VOLUME 3: by Mel Teshco

EARTH, YEAR 2332

Life isn’t fair. Just ask Violet who mysteriously arrived in a space capsule at an orphanage as a baby. She has one goal—to find her biological parents, and winning the Virgin Hunt Games will ensure her face is plastered on every screener across the universe. Surely, her family will recognize and come for her? If she can only stay away from her Mate, the one man she must elude at all cost to win. But naturally, he’s also the only one she wants to surrender to.

Prince Zel Oscar is used to getting what he wants. But accepting a rival’s dare to be a Hunter in the infamous sexploitative Virgin Hunt Games was a terrible and possibly life-altering mistake. But then he meets his Hunted, Violet…delicious perfection wrapped up in a gorgeous package. Too bad she is totally indifferent to his kisses, his exploits, and his lofty title. He’ll do whatever it takes to break down her steely resistance…but will his subjects see him as a hero, or a total degenerate for having kinky sex in front of billions of viewers?

In the end he must make an impossible choice—keep her love, or his kingdom?

My Review…..

As a regular reader of these books, I do have to wonder how the author keeps it fresh, because at the end of the day it’s roughly the same thing (man = hunter/woman = hunted) plenty of naughty and kinky times.
But again the author has put a spin on this story.

Violet is different from most of the humans/aliens that live here, her skin is a blue shade, and only wanting to fit in after living in the orphanage she went through painful experiments to change the colour of her skin, which unfortunately didn’t work, digging into the archives she couldn’t even find someone who looked remotely like her! Violet felt like a freak, if she wins the Games, then maybe her real parents would see her and want to claim her. If not, then winning the Games would get her the adoration from the fans, Violet would take love anyway she could get it…..

Zel is crowned prince, women flock to him, and he uses that to his advantage, but everyone he sleeps with knows he won’t commit, not even the ones who try to trick him into sleeping with him!
He’s a combat pilot for his world, he loves that feeling of freedom.
But after a silly dare, Zel finds himself a participant in an off world game. So he needs to win it and then get back to his world…..

Object of game: The females have to hide from hunters, the longer they evade them, the money they can bank. If they do get caught and it’s not by their designated hunter, then she can have sex with them (kinkier gets more credits, more partners the same) but if they are caught by their hunter, then he wins the money!
Females also have to be virgins (hence the name) not sure why, maybe a virgin runs faster than someone who’s not a virgin?!

As the previous books, it’s full of steamy moments, but it’s also filled with snippets of both Zel and Violets pasts, how both have struggled within the confines of their world, how both only want to be loved for themselves….

And like the the previous books, once the two main characters have sex, it’s hard for them to be with anyone else! But it does happen after miscommunication and a few incidents that have them confused about each other. Is it the hormones they are given to “bond” them together for the week? Is it the fact the hunters aren’t allowed to have intercourse until the games?
It is it fate playing it games and giving these unloved beings a chance at finding happiness?

So will Violet ever find the love she truly craves? Probably not, if her biological parents didn’t want her, and her adoptive parents wanted to change her, then why would a prince ever look at her more than once? Surely once the week of Games is over, Zel will go back to his adoring planet and Violet will be left alone once more…..
