My Review
I could almost imagine myself on the white sandy beach. Being whisked away sounds like a great idea at the moment, and this is what the author did. Beautifully written and so very descriptive.
Jamie comes to have one last big party before starting her next phase of life. Catching up with her family is what she needs, so drinks, sunshine and maybe a summer fling is what she needs. But after a nasty break up maybe no summer fling! She’s also not living up to family expectations (her sister is a model, father is a rockstar and mother who lives the social life) but becoming an architect is what she wants.
Tommy owns a bar, he’s a workaholic, after losing his fiancé he only does one nights and no commitments. His family might live on the island for a few generations but he’s got no intentions of staying here forever.
When Tommy and Jamie meet it’s sparks and chemistry all the way. Both agree to just keeping it casual, but casual is not what happens…..
So what starts out as just a holiday romance quick turns into something more! But when pasts start cropping up, you have to wonder if this new romance will last the course. And Jamie has a life away from this beautiful island, how will a long distance romance last? Or is this just a summer fling?
This is my first book by this author, and I was totally into the book and characters, so I’ll definitely be looking up more of her work. A summer read with all the right ingredients mixed in. Suspense/romance and a little danger.

About the author:
Annie lives in the north of England, not too far from the amazing city of Manchester. She is owned by several cats and many hens, narrowly avoiding being a mad cat woman by enslaving a very understanding husband. She’s an avid reader of many genres and if she’s not writing a book, she’s usually reading one!
