Arc Review

Gamed (Minnesota Caribou Book 4) by Colleen Charles

She’s my tempting but temporary boss.

I always want what I can’t have… but I won’t be denied.

What does the most notorious playboy on the Minnesota Caribou professional hockey team do when everything blows up in his face?

Right, I’ve sworn off women because my multi-million-dollar NHL contract is on the line. If I lose my dream because of my own screw ups, I might never recover.

I’ve never known a goal I couldn’t score – or a girl I couldn’t score with.

Until she tumbles from a ladder and straight into my arms.

She’s my boss. She’s older. She’s off-limits.

Sue-Ann Johnson is lush, smart, more determined than I am, and one hundred percent taboo. For the first time in my life, I want someone who’s not a sure bet.

She’s the successful business owner who obeys every rule. I’m the guy who breaks them.

Not since college have I shown a woman the real me beneath my reckless charm.

Until now… and there’s no going back.

GAMED is a full-length steamy age-gap sports romance from USA Today Bestselling Author, Colleen Charles. It has a small-town feel, a redemption theme, and giggles with blazing heat until the very last page. It’s the first book in the gripping MINNESOTA CARIBOU – YOUNG GUNS hockey series but can be read as a standalone.

Gamed (Minnesota Caribou Book 4) by Colleen Charles

Max is going to wreck his ice hockey career if he isn’t careful! He still thinks he’s a big fish in a little pond (his college days had given him that status symbol) but now he’s having to fight for his place in the team, he realises what’s at stake! But even his mentor Milo tells him he’s being given one more chance. So max decodes whatever it is he’s going to do it. There is no way he’s going to mess up his career!

Sue-Ann has worked hard to get where she is today, an owner of a high end boutique. She’s focusing on her job and not her failed love life!
There is definitely sparks between these two as soon as they meet. But he’s too young for her, and she’s definitely too old for him!

I thought this was a really fun read. Plenty of hilarity and fun. But there is also a serious side to this story.
And when a hiccup in their newly found relationship hits them, will they be able to survive it?

So can Max really make Sue-Ann see him as a grown up and not some spoiled brat? And can she really let go a day grab happiness that is dangling in front of her?

An age gap romance, but this one has the woman being older! I didn’t really get the age gap feel (it’s only seven years) as they both acted pretty mature.

Nicely written with enough steam to keep me reading. I’m going to be reading the rest of this series, and I’m highly recommending it.

Hi I’m an avid reader. I also write reviews for the books I read. Come in and say hi. You can find me on GoodReads, Bookbub, and NetGalley 👩🏻‍💻 I also review on an awesome site The Reading Cafe (run by Barb and Sandy) So ........ More about me 🤨 I’m almost 50 🤫 I’ve been married (for 27 years) I have a 30 year old son. I had a daughter, I lost her a week before her 21st birthday 😥 and it’s been 5 years since she’s been gone (and not a day goes by that I don’t miss her) I work as a salad 🥗 chef 👩‍🍳 in a restaurant, haven’t been there long (before that I worked in Tesco) a large supermarket in the UK. I also like to make craft items (and if your really lucky) and I’ll try to post my efforts on here 😉 My daughter loved butterflies (so part of my blog name is dedicated to her) I’ve taken on her love of butterflies (I have several tattoos) so I’m probably going to throw quiet a few butterflies on here 😉 I LOVE PENGUINS 🐧 💕so I’m also going to be putting a few on here (my library holds a few) 😉 <img src=""
