My Review
What a great story, full of laughter and funny moments.
This is my first book by these two authors, and it probably won’t be the last. Great for reading this summer by the pool or at the beach.
Molly is going to expose the fraud that is Augusta Glower! Well she has a hunch and is going to follow it through….She’s sick of not being taken seriously as blogger, she wants to do more challenging work (and the fact she got fired probably didn’t help!) and the Bad Luck Club seems like a great place to start digging. Only no one wants to talk about !!
Cal is adamant that no one will discover his secret. Not even the cute neighbours sister whose dog sitting will make him spill the beans. It made a change for Cal not to be a billionaire or an a$$hole! A decent guy with a normal job and a group of friends/employees who has me chuckling at their antics.
These characters just jumped off the page, you warm to them almost immediately. Molly had me chuckling almost from the start, and Cal you just wanted to cuddle. The chemistry is slow working, and I think I it was probably more Cal than Molly at first. A couple of steamy moments. But I just loved the interaction between these two. Reading as Molly tries to worm information out of Cal, and smiling as he stays just a step ahead of her. There is also a couple of sad moments, but as it’s a RomCom it’s not dark and depressing.
Apparently this is a spin off from another series these authors wrote (Asheville Brewing) and both Cal and Molly were supporting characters (definitely interested in finding out more) We read both their histories and who their past shaped them into the people they are today.
So will Molly find out what Cal is hiding? And will it help her story? Can Cal trust Molly not to expose his secrets once she finds out?
Pick it up, you won’t be sorry.
