My Review
A brand new author for me to read 🤗 And a new series for me to get excited about. Mafia romance is becoming a firm favourite for me to read. Five families that all vie for power. Lots of secrets and dark pasts.
Max or Matteo known to his employer, isn’t all what he seems, an ideal situation to infiltrate a rival family and exact revenge. Capable, determined and single minded in his job.
Liliana needs room to breathe and having bodyguards monitoring her every move is just maddening. But to marry someone her father has chosen for her is just archaic! Maybe it will be ok. But highly unlikely because if the man is like her father, then she’s in for a nightmare marriage!!
Max and Liliana have an instant attraction, I’d say more for Max than Liliana, but it’s not long before she’s totally into him. Chemistry is hot and steaming, it’s also soft and touching.
An action packed read with twists and turns. Lots of family dynamics and history between five powerful families. And I really liked the family history at the front of the book. I loved reading how Max was totally into Liliana, and how he turned into a possessive alpha (totally hot) And Liliana is just such a great character, strong and independent, and she’s such a great match for Max.
But there are secrets and betrayals coming thick and fast, who can Liliana trust? Is Max her hero or the villain?
