Book four in this series has us finally catching up with one of the errant bears in the Black Ridge Clan.
Rune doesn’t live with the clan. He lives in the city. He’s happy being away from his pack mates. He’s very much a lone bear! And if you read the book you’ll know why. And unlike his pack he doesn’t hibernate in the winter months, it gives him too much time on his hands, and Rune hates thinking of his past!
Callie is on the run from her old pack! Seeking sanctuary in a new pack means crossing the Black Ridge mountains. But she doesn’t have a choice, if she’s caught it’s not going to end well for her!
Rune needs answers! Why would a she wolf be on the run from her old pack? But he doesn’t really want to interact with her, so escorting her to the White Wolf pack is the only option…..
So how can a bear shifter that HATES wolves possibly entertain the notion of falling for a Wolf?
The White Wolf pack is mentioned (again) so I have to wonder and hope for a new spin off series🤞We will have to watch and wait.
Read and smile as Rune fights his feelings for Callie HARD! He’s so set against falling for Callie, he doesn’t have a chance when love finally smacks him in the face!
We have a little interaction with Rune’s pack mates, but a majority of the book is given to their escape from Callie’s old clan and journey to the White Wolf clan. And what happens when the old pack catch up with them? And if they get to the White Wolf clan, can Rune really give up his Wolf? But it might not be up to him, what if Callie doesn’t want to stay with the grumpy bear?!
Reading this series isn’t necessarily required. But it does flow better if read in order.
