My Review
I love paranormal stories.
I’ve read and loved the author’s Oil King’s Series. So I was looking forward to seeing how the author would work in this genre.
Reading this was an amazing journey. The author brought her usual descriptive brilliance, bringing a whole new world for me to obsess over 😉 Bringing these angels and their lives to life…
Bryant doesn’t need a mate! It might center him, it could even help heal the hideous scars he has on his face. But the angels can’t see past his scars, and Bryant doesn’t want to settle for being second best! He’s going to concentrate on his job, and love can just go and do one!!
Odessa needs protection, and picking the biggest, baddest angel as a mate makes perfect sense. She might give off a brave vibe, but she’s scared…..
I loved this couple and loved the connection they had.But I did find it a little annoying that Bryant kept trying to push Odessa away (I think he was trying to convince himself more than anyone else!) Luckily Odessa saw through him and brought him up on his behaviour.
And when she gets kidnapped? Will it be too late for Bryant to tell her how he really feels?
First book in a four book series (although there is another book due out soon) And I loved it. Lots of world and character building (it was also fun to see if I’m right about future couples) Secrets, intrigue and a little angst. A mating that could go either way! And don’t forget the backstabbing and bad guys 😉
