My Review
If this book doesn’t have you smiling within the first couple of paragraphs, then I don’t know what will! It’s a non-stop laugh at loud read.
Flynn is on a stag weekend with his brothers, someone has to stay sober to keep an eye on them, and guess who that is?! Flynn isn’t a fan of Vegas! Too flashy for him, he’s rather be anywhere than here.
Daisy is living her best life, doing a job she loves and meeting great people along the way. She’s in Vegas for a work event, then it’s back to LA to continue her life. But all that gets thrown into chaos after reading an email…..
Flynn and Daisy meet briefly in a casino. She’s playing a slot machine when she meets the brothers and Flynn. Both are aware of one another, but before anything can happen, Flynn and his brothers say goodbye before heading out for alcohol and fun.
Daisy needs to get married to keep her visa, otherwise it’s back to Canada for her! How is she going to manage this?
Flynn and Daisy are just such a great couple. She’s loud and full of life, he’s quiet and reserved. But together they just click.
So…. A marriage of convenience is aggressive upon. And three months from now, they agree on an annulment. Daisy heads back to LA, Flynn goes home to NY, neither expecting this marriage to cause them any problems! But Daisy has to prove to immigration that they are a “proper” married couple! So off to NY to live with Flynn and prove they really are married! Should be easy right? They like each other, get to know one another, it should be a piece of cake. But the more time they spend getting to know one another, the harder it’s going to be to say goodbye after their meeting with immigration.
I couldn’t put the book down, it just rolled through hilarious event after hilarious events. The supporting characters were just a delight. It’s hot and heavy in places, (this is no separate sleeping arrangement thank you) there is a little angst (but not much) as the end is near, and both think it’s just temporary.
There is a prequel (where we get to meet the brothers and their sister)There is also the first book The Bet (that’s the reason why they are in Vegas) it’s not necessary to read them first, and I must admit, it’s made me curious to read the other books. And I’m hoping it’s not long before the next book is out.
A highly recommended read.
