Book four in this fabulous series has the loveable Gus meeting his match.
Gus has seen his brothers fall under the wheels of love bus, and has no plans to get caught riding that mode of transportation! Is you want a little fun with no commitment, then Gus is your guy.
But that idea comes crashing down when he meets the neighbour! A stunning creature that has Gus wondering where she has been all his life. But the neighbour isn’t too keen on striking up a conversation let alone anything else! But he sees this as a challenge and sets out to become indispensable to someone he feels will have an impact on his life in the future!
Being a widower for a few years now, her only goal has been to survive and to care for her daughter. Susannah has poured her time, and efforts into making sure Olive wants for nothing. And now her writing career has finally paid off, she can give her daughter the stability she deserves. She certainly doesn’t have time to flirt or chat with the cute neighbour, even if he is good with her daughter.
With this book (which you can read without reading the others first) and in fact with the whole series, I can guarantee you’ll not put it down till the last word on the page. Both Willow and Laura draw you in and keep you there until they’ve rung every emotion out of you. Descriptions will have you right in the moment. The banter will have you chuckling, and the moments between Gus and Olive will have you melting into a puddle of warm goo.
But first Gus has to charm and wheedle his way into their lives. And I first I thought he might be using the little girl to get to the mother! But that’s not the case, he really does like Olive and does his best to make her smile or chuckle every time he sees her.
So can Gus really win Susannah over? Or will the only admirer he have be Olive?
