About Grumpy Special Ops Bear #1:
In the wilderness, love knows no bounds.

Bear shifter, Fergus, is an alpha who specializes in the art of war. With danger lurking around every tree, it is his desire to capture the leader of a renegade wolf shifter pack that drives him.

Until temptation arrives in the form of the captivating feisty human Trinity.

Trinity is everything Fergus has longed for in a mate. Beautiful. Adventurous. Alluring. Yet her simple presence puts his mission in jeopardy. Now, he is left with an agonizing choice: claim the woman of his dreams, or complete his operative.

What will he sacrifice? Love or honor?

A Continuing Story:
Grump Special Ops Bear is told in three installments, or episodes, like a TV show. Each episode, except the last one, includes a cliffhanger!

My Review

Trinity is an adrenaline junkie, the more danger the better the high, leading a group of people into the wilderness should be an adventure, but she gets more than she bargains for!
The group of men sheโ€™s taking are fining off weird vibes! But with the large amount of money they are throwing around, it makes it hard to say no!

Fergus is the leader of a small group of shifters. His mission is to capture a renegade wolf shifter. Sounds easy, but with surprises around every corner, itโ€™s going to take all of his skills to hunt and capture the wolf!
I loved this book, I could easily imagine it on the screen. Told over several books, with a little cliffhanger hanger at the end of this one, I definitely need to know what happens next.

Really well written and nicely though out. Plenty of details to keep you hooked and enough background in the characters that fleshed them out. Both Fergus and Trinity seem really well suited for one another, she loves adventure and Fergus can definitely supply that ๐Ÿ˜‰
Itโ€™s definitely an action/adventure read, with the human female having no idea of whatโ€™s in store for her and the human race! A barbaric ritual is going to be reinstated and Trinity is going to be the the first sacrifice! To say sheโ€™s shocked and scared is an understatement! The terror she feels is relayed to the reader really well, you could easily imagine yourself in the role of Trinity, (not that I want to experience being tied up and forced to watch a pack of wolves devour an elk!)

So where does that leave Trinity and Fergus? Well, it leaves Fergus and his team stalking the renegade wolf pack, it leaves them angry and worried about the female that is in terrible danger. And it has them trying to figure out how to rescue get without letting the pack know they are being hunted!
And it leaves me wondering when the next book is out, and can they rescue Trinity in time? Or will she be sacrificed in the ritual that the wolf pack want to start back up?

If you like a shifter book that is full of twists and turns, then grab this one, you wonโ€™t be disappointed.

ABOUT MARIE:

Marie Johnston is a RITAยฎ Finalist, and a best-selling and award-winning writer of paranormal and contemporary romance โ€“ and an avid reader of them both. โ€‹

Several years ago, when kids started outnumbering adults in the house, Marie Johnston left her job as a public health microbiologist to stay at home. Settling into working part-time and shuttling kids around gave Marie the opportunity to think about what she wanted to be when she grew up. A die-hard science geek, she explored her previously thought to be non-existent creative side after much time spent making snowman crafts and coloring princesses. Having entertained thoughts of writing a book one day then subsequently deciding it would be too hard, she finally put the figurative pen to paper and began to type โ€“ and fell in love with storytelling.

The Sigma Menace is the first series by Marie with Fever Claim being her first book EVER.  She is humbled by the fact that people are willing to read to her books and looks forward to keeping readers entertained for many years.

Marie lives with her husband and four kids in the Upper Midwest where the summers are gorgeous, the winters are brutal, and spring and fall are luxuries.
