My Review
That was a great read. And what a way to start a new series. Being the first book in a new series is always a gamble, it will either have you wanting more (which it will) or wary about picking the next book up.
Grayson is the God of Chaos and Destruction, and he certainly lives up to his title!
Quentin is a biology researcher. With a brilliant mind and a level head. Which she’s going to need as she part of a new group (Elysian Liaison Initiative or ELI as it’s known by) they are to study the Gods that that agreed to the study. Well most of them have, Grayson is none too pleased at being summoned, and let’s everyone around him know it!
There are warnings about triggers that could upset people, so read them before making your mind up.
I could easily see this as a movie or made into a series. The world in which Quen and Gray live in is so detailed and well thought out.
The chemistry between the two characters is off the charts! But Gray isn’t into mortals, and would NEVER think of Quen in that way! But the more time he spends with her, the more times he pushes her buttons, it has him thinking of taking it a little further with this fragile human! But Quen isn’t here to date! She’s here to further her career. She might think the God of Chaos is just perfect, but she’s not going to be swayed to his way of thinking!
The ending has a twist and a cliffhanger! And it’s one I thought was just brilliant, although it does mean waiting for the next book!
