My Review
This is from a series of authors who have clubbed together to write separate books but will all interlink.
Binding Rose is a RH (Reverse Harem, one woman with more than one man) Rosa is a Mexican Cartel bosses daughter, so she’s no shrinking Violet. She’s been made aware of her duties for many years. But the one she’s finding hard to deal with is the arrangement her father made with other bosses…..
Six bosses meet up to discuss a truce, and to honour that truce, each boss will offer up a daughter to be married to one of the other five families! That way they hope to end bloodshed. Not all the families are happy, but they’ve been given ten years until the daughters are eighteen and older, and then they will be married off!
Tiernan is the son of the Irish mafia boss, his father picked Rosa’s name out of the bowl. Tiernan isn’t happy that marriage to an enemy will be his fate! His got no intention of making his new wife’s life easy! In fact he’s going to ask his brother and cousin to “take care of her” (RH part)
It starts off a little slow, but soon takes off. I loved Rosa and her attitude. I really liked how protective Tiernan was with his sister (she to be “given up as a bride” at some point) Shay (Tiernan’s brother) is a character and I really liked him. Colin (Tiernan’s cousin) is the muscle in this trio, but with Tosa he can show another side (and it’s endearing)
I wouldn’t really say it’s a true RH, as Tiernan realises he’s not the sharing type and wants Rosa all for himself! And it’s says a DR (Dark Romance) but I’m not even sure it’s a true dark romance. But it’s still a great story, and you have to admire the author for pulling it off in just one book (most RH’s I’ve read are spread out over a couple of books)
So can this arranged marriage really work when one member really have keen and the other just wants to go home?
An enemies to lovers/arranged marriage trope that ticked all the boxes.
I’m definitely interested in reading the rest of the series, and I’m adding this author to my TR (to read) author list.
