My Review
Night is a pure blood vampire, he’s served in the Preux Chevaliers. (vampire mercenary corps of Hell.)
He’s now an assassin that works for his brother (Grave) He’s proud that he’s done all these things.
Liliana is a witch that wants to do right by her coven. Being sent by the coven to assess Sebastian’s innocence or guilt in an attack on a coven (Night’s older brother)
The attraction between Night and Liliana is almost instant, but Night is under the impression that she belongs to Sebastian so he won’t take that step (if a vampire touches someone that doesn’t belong to him, then it causes a physical pain!)
How will Night react when he finds out this piece of information (and he’s not a fan of witches, due to the fact she tried to take his head, and he wears a permanent reminder around his neck!)
Another great book from one of my favourite authors. As per usual it’s a slow burn paranormal romance, but the glances and the almost moments are worth the wait that we have to endure, until they give into their urges 😉
it’s not necessary to read in order as each book stands on its own. But if you get the chance to read the brother’s story (King of Death) then it gives you a few moments with Night and his brother, and another side to their relationship
Liliana is a great character, resourceful and feisty. A good witch that only wants to help her coven, but doing this will tie to Sebastian, when really what she wants it to belong to Night.
There is a demon that is seeking revenge on Grave’s family, and he’s going to do his upmost to end his line and his cousins too (Snow has a book in a different series)
Lots of fighting, a little angst and betrayal, plenty of emotions running around.
If your a fan of this author, then you won’t be disappointed. And if your new to the Eternal mates world, you couldn’t have picked a better book to start your journey.
