Gigi has been in love with her brother’s best friend forever, a young girl’s crush grew into full blown love. But what do you do even that love isn’t reciprocated?
Gray has known the Jacobs’s family for years, his parents didn’t really care much for him (stepdad thinks he’s a waste of space)and mum doesn’t really defend him all that much, so he lives with Cade’s family as much as he could, so when his best friend asked him to look out for his baby sister, Gray jumped at the chance to repay the family back.
But recently he’s looked at his best friends sister far more intently than he should be…..
Both Gigi and Gray go to the same school, but Gray is in the year above. Gray is determined that Gigi won’t date anyone, she’s had plenty of offers, but so far he’s scared them away! But why? It can’t be just as a favour to the family, there has to be more to it, doesn’t there?
What starts out as a friends zone, soon turns into something more, it takes Gray a little longer to catch up, but Gigi is willing to wait as long as it takes. But Gray doesn’t have the confidence that Gigi does about them. He’s constantly worried that he’s not good enough (his stepfather tells him often enough!) his dad’s a drink and a gambler! Gray has lost count of how many times his father has promised to quit, promised to be a better father! But when Gigi gets caught up on all the drama, Gray realises he can’t help his father no more, he has to put her first.
True love never runs smooth….. We have a jealous ex (well she thinks she’s Gray’s girlfriend!) who won’t take no for an answer! We have a brother who won’t take kindly to his best friend sleeping with his baby sister! And we have trouble brewing in the shape of a gambling father!
I love visiting Willow Springs, it’s my favourite small town to visit. Drama and angst, but also young love and the promise of forever! 💜
And when her brother Cade finally finds out about Gigi and Gray….. well it’s not a back slapping Gray gets!!
So can they get their HEA?
